OUR DENTAL OFFICE POLICIES
APPOINTMENTS:
We have both early morning and evening hours available to try to accommodate everyone's busy schedules, but they are limited. If you have an appointment scheduled during these high demand times it is very important that you do your best to keep it because it may be a while before another one becomes available for you. Booking your appointments exclusively after hours may not always be possible, so we ask your understanding in booking during the day whenever possible.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We do not accept appointment changes or cancellations through e-mail. Please call during regular business hours. We respect your time and ask that you respect ours. For that reason we must ask for at least one business day notice to change or cancel an appointment or a nominal fee will apply.
FINANCIAL:
Payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience we offer Visa, Mastercard, debit or cash. If your treatment requires multiple visits a payment plan may be worked out. Our fees are always based on the current Ontario Dental Association fee guide. Your insurance may or may not make re-imbursement based on the same fees.
DENTAL INSURANCE:
Your dental benefits are negotiated for you by your employer. There are many different insurance companies and many different plans within these companies. It would be impossible for us to know everyone's specific plan details. It is up to you to know the different benefits and limitations on your plan. Due to privacy rules and regulations we cannot call your insurance company for you. At our office Dr. Winter and Dr. Park will recommend the treatment that best suits your individual needs, based on your specific situation. We do not base the necessary treatment on what your insurance allows. We will do our best to help you understand your benefits and we're happy to submit pre-treatment estimates at your request.
If your insurance allows we will send an electronic claim for you on the day of your treatment. Most people receive their insurance cheque within a week.
EMERGENCIES:
If you call with an emergency during regular office hours we will do our very best to see you the same day to make you comfortable and then schedule another appointment for further treatment if necessary. If it is after hours you can call the Kitchener/Waterloo emergency service at 519-740-4811, or the Cambridge emergency service at 519-624-2620.
